Yoga more than just an exercise but a science of living and lifestyle. A tool that will enhance your sense of personal awareness of your body, breath and state of mind, and assist others to do the same.

Grounded in Hatha Yoga, the advanced diploma will take you through the ancient practices of Hatha Yoga and the teachings of Gharanda Samhita, Hath Yoga Pradipika, Shiva Samhita, Patanjali, and the father of yoga Sri Tirumalai Krishnamacharya.

As part of your training you will focus strongly on your own personal practice as well as learning the practicalities of delivering the different Yoga techniques and philosophies to others as a Teacher of Yoga. You will also learn the skills needed to confidently operate a Yoga therapy business.

Qualification Outcomes

52792WA Advanced Diploma of Holistic Classical Yoga Practices (CRICOS Code 099897B) is a nationally accredited qualification, recognised anywhere in Australia. Graduates have many career pathways when Yoga is used to complement other fields of expertise in the Health Industry. You may also gain credit for the Health Units that are part of this course towards further study in Health for example, A Diploma of Remedial Massage.

Study Options

This full-time course runs for 52 weeks. You’re training will include 2 days of on campus class attendance, with an optional ½ day of tutoring. You will also be required to attend a regular Yoga class on campus, or at a studio of your choice. All your training will be delivered through our partner boutique school Demi International (Yoga Academy) on the Sunshine Coast and Cairns.

Entry Requirements

Academic:
Successful completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent.
English Language Proficiency:
Minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or proof of equivalent.
Recommended:
12 months of regular yoga practice, or a proven level of physical fitness.
