During your studies, you will work with a range of clients with different needs as you develop your own unique niche through learning the many different techniques and skills of a qualified barber. You will learn skills in maintain and designing beards and moustaches, how to shave the head and face, how to cut and clipper, use tracking and carving. You will also learn how to take care of your client, and how the business of the salon is run.

Study Options

This full-time course runs for 60 weeks. You will split your training between the classroom and the barbershop, or in-house hair salon. All your training will be delivered through our partner college’s Demi International (Barbering Academy) on the Sunshine Coast and Cairns and Elysian on the Gold Coast.

Academic:
Successful completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent.
English Language Proficiency:
Minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or proof of equivalent.
